psychologjictures
was started in 2003 by the Dutch historian of psychology Peter
van Drunen. As former director of the Archives of Dutch Psychology and
researcher and teacher of the history of psychology, Van Drunen has since the
early 1990s been actively engaged in promoting the use of pictorial sources in
the history of psychology. His activities in this area include the exhibition
‘Put to the test’, on the history of psychology testing, a slide series on
the same topic, contributions to The Illustrated History of Psychology, and picture research for an
number of books, including A social
history of psychology (Jansz & Van Drunen, Eds., 2003).
psychologjictures
is a direct offspring of long-standing interest in the use of
pictorial materials in the history of psychology. It was initiated to help
historians of psychology find their way to pictorial resources. psychologjictures
is based in Amsterdam, and related to the Archives of Dutch Psychology.
